What does the coding world look like for females right now?
In the world today we have a small ammount of females in STEM based carrers.₁ Even less are people of color. It has been 66 years since the civil rights movement started and 100 years since the women's sufferage movement.Even in the year of 2020, still a smaller percentage of women are in these carrer fields. We need change that. But how do we do so? By having mentors and educate them so that they know their carrer options. Girls wWho code has provided a way from young women to be able to go into fields that involve coding while also allowing them to have sisterhood with other girls. We will be the ones to make a difference and be able to mentor other women so that they will be able to explore stem carrers.It has been a long time, so why are we still waiting? If thre is something we don't like why not chnage it!
